Larry Joseph Richards, Sr. was born on September 17, 1948 in Alliance, NE to Bernard Richards, Sr. and Molly Standing Soldier. Larry made his journey to the Spirit World on September 19, 2020 at the Bennett County Hospital in Martin, SD.
Larry is survived by his daughters, Mitzy Briggs, Alice Richards, Sandra Fly, Adrienne Richards, Yvette LaPoint, and Tanya Begay; sons, Larry Richards, Jr., Philip & Lakota Richards, Joseph W. Poor Thunder, Shawn LaPoint, Damon LaPoint, and Eric LaPoint; brothers, Bernard Richards, Reynold Richards, and Don (Yvonne) Prall; sisters, Millie Vela, Lucy Moreno, Darlene Soto, Bernadine Richards, and Carol Garcia; and 28 grandchildren.
Larry was preceded in death by his mother, Molly Standing Soldier; father, Bernard A. Richards, Sr.; sisters, Goldie Richards, Rachel Richards, and Clara Richards; brother, William Richards; and grandmother, Nellie Richards.
Pallbearers will be Lester “JD” Fly, Johnny Cottier, Russell Fly, Sr., Lester Fly, Gerald Richards, John Dillon, Carl Standing Bear, Sr., Chris Richards, Cody Ceplecha, Devin Richards, Michael Richards, and Earl Richards, Sr.
